The Glastonbury Festival
Glastonbury is widely regarded as the world’s premiere music festival. With sellout crowds every year getting to and from the festival site has become an epic journey by road or rail, often taking many hours.
Glastonbury Heliport provides the time poor or those who wish to avoid the “road woes” a fast route in and out of the event. Transfer times from Brighton City (Shoreham) Airport are around 1 hour with some stunning scenery en-route. On arrival land transport will take you via closed roads to the main event site.
Helicopter movements in and out of Glastonbury heliport are controlled using a slot system. These are allocated by the heliport operators on a first come first served basis. If you have specific times you wish to fly in / out then early booking is advisable.
With festival goers having to bring a rucksack or two for their stay at the event it is vital that you declare what you will be bringing on the enquiry form, otherwise there may not be space for it to be carried in the helicopter.
