The Brighton Quickie

Celebrating Brighton's reputation for kiss-me-quick hats, saucy postcards and dirty weekends, the Brighton Quickie takes in all the major sights of the city of Brighton & Hove. This flight costs £300 and carries up to three passengers in the single engine R44 helicopter, or £695 for up to 5 passengers in the twin engine AS355.

Unlike our helicopter experience flights the 20 minute tour can be taken any day of the week subject to weather and machine/pilot availability. Weight limits apply.

Shoreham Airfield is arguably the best airfield in the UK to start a scenic pleasure flight. The stunning views of the coastline, the piers on the Brighton seafront, the white cliffs, the rolling Sussex Downs - all make Shoreham Airfield head and shoulders above many other isolated, windswept airfields in the UK.

And your experience is not over once your helicopter lands! Shoreham Airport's 1930's art deco main terminal building takes you back to the days when flying was the height of sophistication and is home to the excellent Hummingbird cafe. If you want a special meal then there are various fine restaurants in Shoreham-by-Sea (a 10 minute walk from the airfield).

The lead member of the group will be presented with a souvenir USB memory stick containing professionally taken high resolution photos of Brighton and the Sussex countryside. This ensures that everyone can sit back and enjoy the trip safe in the knowledge that you've already got some stunning photos to show your friends and family.

PLEASE NOTE: When booking a tour you are booking the helicopter for your own private use (not just a seat on a flight with others). If your party does not fill the aircraft the cost of the tour does not change as it is based on the running cost of the helicopter, not the number of seats occupied.

  • I took my wife for her first ever helicopter flight. Being the birthday girl (80) it was only natural she sat beside the pilot John Davies. Fortunately the weather was sunny with very good visibility. John pointed out all the points of local interest to us. (we all loved the little dinky cars below !! ) We flew in a westerly direction and finally overflew our home at Littlehampton then along the coast back to Shoreham.. What a grand experience. A very friendly and professional service . We will do this again. Soon!!
