Sussex History Tour

See Sussex's historic landmarks both modern and ancient from the air on this inspirational helicopter tour. From Iron Age hill settlements to Medieval castles, from second world war fortifications to royal palaces, from chalk figures to ancient trading routes - this tour encompasses them all. This flight costs £495 and carries up to three passengers.

Unlike our experience flights the Sussex History Tour can be taken any day of the week giving you the chance to avoid the weekends and experience Shoreham Airport when it is less hectic. It also allows you to choose a birthday or anniversary rather than just a weekend close to it.

Shoreham Airfield is arguably the best airfield in the UK to start a flight experience. The stunning views of the coastline, the piers on the Brighton seafront, the white cliffs, the rolling Sussex Downs - all make Shoreham Airfield head and shoulders above many other windswept airfields often in the middle of endless farmland at the back end of nowhere.

And your experience is not over once your helicopter lands. Shoreham Airport's art deco main terminal building takes you back to the days when flying was the height of sophistication. If you want a special meal then there are various fine restaurants in Shoreham-by-Sea (a short walk from the airfield) as well as the stylish Hummingbird Cafe at the main terminal building.

Cameras can be used on board, but remember to take time to experience the flight and not spend all your time looking at your phone screen or viewfinder. At the end of the flight there's a small momento to take away to remind you of this unforgettable aerial treat!
